The scheme breaks down into two tiers knowledgeable and learner. At present the program is based on how distant they can run, walk, swim or bike. The experienced paramedic has to go beyond for the same quantity of points.
“The distance plan allows everybody to do what they are doing, but if they desire to they can attempt different exercises,” Lee said. “If they are runners, they can attempt swimming or if they are swimmers they can attempt running.”
EMS director Kevin Deramus and Lee wanted to establish a program and had to get classes at the Cooper Institute in Dallas for training. “The set of courses is the same as an individual trainer, and it is extremely hands on,” Lee said. “We had to get the written test and do the similar plan we implemented here.” “We had quite a lot of people bring down their mile and a half time by three minutes by doing small things. This isn’t hardcore work out, and they get support when they see their time go downward.”
The present goal is to get the entire county involved, Lee said. Each section or office like road and bridge or the sheriff’s place of work would have their own health and wellness program and representative.
“We want to obtain a health and wellness committee together for the county,” Lee said. “The representatives would come jointly and present ideas to keep everybody interested in the plan.
