A health and wellness plans to give insurance cover to general public in case of injuries or deaths in accidents has been set by National Insurance Company (NIC).
NIC general manager Multan zone Syed Saad Shah told newsmen that the system would give financial easiness to the families in case of injuries or deaths in accidents. He said that the plan would soon be benefiting people after last approval by the administration.
He said that NIC Multan zone handles farming insurance cases from all over the state.
Insurance claims worth Rs 400 million have been submitted by the farmers with NIC Multan while farming damages insurance claims from Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were still awaited.
Saad Shah said the business had four zonal offices and a dozen branches ready in the country and provides insurance wrap to administration for its possessions, transport and other properties.
Under the insurance act, administration departments and institutions keen to get their possessions insured, are bound to benefit this facility only from the national insurance corporation and not from private companies, he said.
